The goal of the project was to create an app that would help students
at our Rhein-Waal University manage their academic lives. In this way, the app would bring together the different environments and systems of Rhein-Waal University and provide easy access to them from one place.

Existing apps on the German market are either outdated (both in terms of visuals and user experience) or are unified solutions for any university (like Studo), so they contain many irrelevant features and at the same time do not contain university-specific features.
So I decided to develop the concept of an app that would provide access to basic and important features like timetable, mensa, student id, document lists, as well as to more unique and university specific features like booking study co-working spaces, accessing library card, booking appointments with different departments and professors.
In order to simultaneously make the app as comprehensive as possible, but at the same time not overwhelming and overly complex, I decided to create a system of customised widgets. Thus, in the "services" section users can see all available functions of the application, but they can also customise them and display on the main screen only those services that will be used by a particular student. Potentially users also can also integrate them as widgets into gadget system, allowing them to be reflected not only within the app, but also on the phone’s home screen or laptop’s desktop.
